There
isn't an apartment in Paris more charming and cheerful...ask
all who have had the pleasure of staying here."Le Provençal"
studio is located on the quiet courtyard of a very charming
18th-century building in the heart of Le Marais. It is completely
equipped in spite of its size! In fact, anyone who has ever
had the pleasure of being a guest will tell you that it
is missing NOTHING!
Complete
with a king size bed that converts to twin beds when desired,
a Siemens brand washer/dryer combination, espresso maker,
microwave, toaster-oven, two-burner ceramic stove, refrigerator,
high speed Internet with WiFi, flat screen TV, DVD player,
stereo, and free(!) long distance phone service...not to
mention plenty of soap, shampoo, body wash, tissues, toilet
paper and all the other toiletries...this delightful and
cozy studio makes a perfect Parisian home for one or two.
The
studio has been crafted with loving hands by a local mosaic artist
who created the mosaic-tiled kitchen and bathroom and special
touches on the walls. The bright colors of Provence make it a
continuously happy place to hang your hat after a long day visiting
Paris.
The
bath is equipped with both a rain shower head and hand-held shower,
magnifying mirror, hair dryer and glass shelving to put all your
personal belongings. There is ample storage space in a floor-to-ceiling
closet equipped with a clothing hamper, marketing cart, step stool,
three areas of hanging space for your clothing, four drawers and
lots of shelving.
Located
on the third floor (European, no elevator) up sweet carpeted wooden
Marais stairs, facing southeast, this quiet studio gets a beautiful
amount of sunlight through all three windows, decorated with colored
shades and white linen drapes. When the windows are open, you'll
be able to smell the fresh rosemary planted in the window boxes.
Le
Marais and the Area Around Rue de Bretagne
With
rue de Bretagne just next door, the apartment embraces the heart
of the Marais and central Paris with all the typical French commerce
you could ever wish for, including three boulangeries
(bakeries), a number of boucheries (butchers), poissonneries
(fish markets), epiceries (grocery stores), primeurs
(fruit/vegetable shops), fleuristes (flower shops), bar/tabacs
(tobacco shops), cafés and lots of excellent and
charming restaurant, not to mention Paris' oldest covered market,
Les Enfants Rouges, which dates back to 1615! In the
last few years, designer boutiques and art galleries have sprung
up like tulips. The district becomes more and more important to
Paris' finest artisans. It is only minutes from the Musée
Picasso, the Places des Vosges and a fifteen-minute
walk to Saint-Paul, Hôtel de Ville and Notre
Dame. Don't miss the Square du Temple, Le Carreau
du Temple and the City Hall of the 3rd Arrondissement before
reaching Place de la République. The
location is great and with a large number of transportation lines,
you're only minutes away from just about every part of the city.

This is my second stay here in Le Provençal, and
it really has become a home, a nest. The place is one thing,
and your kindness is the finishing touch! I plan to return
next year, if at all possible. With kindest regards...

We
enjoyed our stay at your apartment. The area is full of
good restaurants and one time was too short to test them
all. At Chez Omar, we have had the chance to be in a Maroccan
city within Paris! It could not have been better.

Fabulous
location, so many choices, but not enough time. So glad
we chose this little apartment instead of a hotel. Great
place to spend Christmas!

Fantastic
location, but never long enough. We'll be back, maybe in
the spring this time.

The
location is just lovely and the apartment is tiny but sweet.
Everything you could wish for is there. The apartment is
tiny but perfectly formed, it feels charming and intimate
--100% perfect for the Marais! So great for galleries, restaurants,
and browsing in gorgeous boutiques. Good bars, good food,
good company. We will be back.

I
really can't think of anything to change -- the only thing
that Le Provencal lacked was a dish brush, and I bought
one at Monoprix and left it! I enjoyed my stay at Le Provencal
tremendously. I loved the fact that there were great shops
(the fromagerie, the caviste, the wonderful covered market
open every day) and restaurants just one minute from the
front door. Although I was alone, I felt completely safe
and secure in the neighborhood and in the apartment. Outside
it was cold and rainy, but in the apartment it was warm
and colorful!

Another
exquisite week in this fantastic city and in the comfort
and convenience of one of your great apartments. Until next
time...

It
was so much fun to spend the week in the most charming
studio! After reading your newsletter stories about its
creation, it became my dream to stay here. What a quiet
retreat from the Paris excitement. I just wish you had used
those special mirrors that make you look thinner -- after
eating French cuisine for a week...it would make us all
feel more chic! Anyway, loved this place. Can't wait to
return.

Thanks
very much, Adrian. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the
apartment. Your restaurant guide is great and we made friends
at Le Machon. It could not have been better!

The
apartment was just great, very well equipped and charming.
And the welcome we received was much appreciated.

I
liked the apartment, and the entire experience, so much
that I wrote about it: I have written about the apartment
in a post on my blog: www.libbywilkiedesigns.com
Look at "Details of Place" and "Apartment

Just
wanted to pass on that we had greatest time at apartment
and thanks for being so easy to answer questions and well,
just everything! We will definitely spread the word. Adrian,
your choice of Caffé Soprano was the tops! We went
twice -- it was so delicious.

It's
official -- We will never stay in a hotel in Paris again!!!
We loved our stay in Le Provencal! The apartment was wonderful
and well stocked with all the necessities. I would suggest
that you include in your information that things such as
soaps, towels etc. are included in the apartment as we have
rented places previously where we were required to bring/buy
our own and it was a treat to arrive and know this was something
we didn't have to think about. The location was perfect,
the amenities were perfect, the experience from the first
contact was perfect. We hope to see you again very soon
and have told many of our friends about our wonderful week
in Paris at Le Provencal. The Marais, the apartment, the
restaurant recommendations, the marché, the park...all
we wanted and more. You
will see us again. Au revoir!

We
had a lovely time in Paris, due mostly to being so comfortable
at Le Provencal.

We
enjoyed our stay in this lovely little apartment. It was
so close to everything and every great tourist attraction.
We loved the area and the orange theme simulated in this
